Update On My Kiddos

I thought that I should give everyone an update. Last time I posted, Clayton was up all night throwing up. When he finally fell asleep, Connor got up for his round! Luckily David was able to stay home so he could help me and I could get some rest. We were able to go out that night, David's parents watched the boy's for us, it was a much needed time away together. Things seemed to be going well again, we made it 5 days and then on Sunday, Clayton threw up and Connor had a blow out diaper. Last night we had both of our Dad's come over and pray over Clayton and Connor. We ordered a water test so we can test our well water. We have been buying bottled water until we get the results back. I also have another Doctor visit with our family doctor next Tuesday, she wants to do some blood and allergy tests on them. We would really appreciate your continued prayers. Clayton has never been a very big boy but this bout of sickness has made him soooo skinny. Connor is very unhappy, but I'm not sure if it's because he's sick or almost 2 :D I will post again when we know more! Thank-you!!!!

Please Pray For Us!

It is 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. We have had sick little boy's since June 6th. They have been vomiting every day to every other day since then. It is usually just once and in the middle of the night or early in the morning. The very strange thing about this is, they are perfectly fine all day... eating, playing, pretty much normal. I took them to the doctor last Wednesday just because I was so frustrated. They basically told me that it was just a bad stomach flu virus and it could last up to 2 weeks! He said to keep them on a bland diet (which is what we had been doing.) Well, the last time Clayton got sick was Thursday night and Connor got sick on Friday night. So I was thinking that we were finally in the clear, only to wake up to Clayton screaming at 1:00 this morning. He has since thrown up every 15-20 minutes. This is the first time that it actually seems like the "flu", vomiting until the tummy is totally empty. I would really covet your prayers. I just feel so bad for my boy's! I am getting rather weary from being up at night, washing puke and diarrhea out of bedding, carpet and clothing and just not knowing what else I can do. David had called me today and told me he set up a babysitter for us to go out on Wednesday night, we haven't been out on a date since our anniversary, May 6th. I was looking so forward to going out! I really want to try and have a positive attitude but I am really struggling right now. I will update you when I get a chance. Thank-you for your prayers!
P.S. If anyone has any idea please let me know!

Fun With Cousins!

We had my brother, Chase's, kids for a weekend in June. This is actually a picture from the previous week when I was watching them. Look how nicely everyone is sitting and they actually all have food and seem to be having fun!
THE BOY'S!
David, Coleton, Clayton and Connor on the 4-wheeler.
Sarina Bean
If she was outside, she wanted to be on the swing. I haven't figured out if she actually likes swinging that much or if she likes the safety of being away from the dog! :)
Clayton and Sarina~Best Buds
All the kids do really well together. But there is the occasional squabble. Although, not these two. They seem to always get along so well. :) We are grateful to have cousins as best friends!

Cabin Pics!

In May we went to my Aunt & Uncle's cabin in Wisconsin. This is a goofy picture but it shows Clayton and me eating a s'more. It was kind of messy for the boy's. The next time we did s'mores we gave each of them a marshmallow (not roasted) and a fudge stripe cookie. It was a lot cleaner and easier (and then we could actually enjoy ours!)
David and Clayton up in one of Uncle Dan's tree stands. I think this was a huge highlight for Clayton.
Connor, Mom & Clayton on 4-wheelers. This is what we did most of the time we were there. It was a lot of fun for all of us!
Goofy picture of Clayton. He found this stick while we were roasting hot dogs. He was pretending to be a deer!
Thank-You, Dan & Brenda! We made some fun memories! :)

What We've Been Up To!

There is a story behind this picture....one day I had decided that I was going to work-out in the basement (I usually do this while the kids are sleeping or doing room time, etc.) But instead I set them up with a movie and went downstairs for some "me" time. It was rather quiet upstairs so I was pleased that things were going so well (note to self: whenever things are quiet, you better go and check it out.) I had no sooner had this thought when I heard something fall down the stairs. This alerted me to the fact that I should probably go check on what was going on. I come upstairs, get to the top and immediately I can smell passion fruit extra gum. Connor was stuffing as much as he could in his mouth, wrappers and all. I took this picture with the gum in my hand so you can tell how much he had in his mouth. I had actually thrown the gum away and then thought better of it, I needed to put this one on my blog!
Besides taking gum out of Connor's mouth and such things, I've been working on potty training. I decided to do both boy's together. Clayton is pretty much potty trained but Connor hasn't mastered it yet. I figure I'll wait a few month and try again. They are looking at John Deere tractor magazines, one of the things that kept Clayton on the toilet for longer than 2 seconds! :)

Long Overdue Post

So sorry that I have not stayed up-to-date. I have many pictures to post but at the moment our camera is on the fritz. I will put on some pictures when we get it up and running again.

We had the opportunity to go to my Aunt and Uncle's cabin in Wisconsin the end of May. They have 40 acres and it is out in the country. We brought two 4-wheelers with us and when we weren't picking woodticks off of each other we were all 4-wheeling. It was a blast, the boy's were in heaven! I have pictures that I'll put up a.s.a.p.

The following weekend my brother, Tanner, and David's brother, Stephen, graduated from high school. Last Sunday was Stephen's Open House and this Saturday is Tanner's.

This past weekend we had my brother's kids, Coleton and Sarina. It was a busy house but I thought that things ran quite smoothly considering. I was working on potty training with Clayton in underwear. Before this point I was using pull-ups but I thought that having accidents might speed up the process. At one point Coleton (who is 3 months older and is potty trained) comes running into my room and says, "Briana, Briana, come here." I followed him to where he and Clayton had been playing so well for the past 30-40 minutes. As soon as I hit the doorway, I could smell it. Coleton says, "look it's poop, it's gross and it really stinks." I couldn't have said it better myself! Sure enough, there was poop on the floor, at this point I was doubting my decision to do the potty training deal this weekend! That was probably our biggest crisis. The kids had a lot of fun together and David and I got a taste of what it would be like if we had 2 sets of twins ages 2 & 3.

We have had some sickness in the house this past week (stomach flu, yuk!) But on the brighter side, I think that I can say the Clayton is potty trained! I really, really dislike potty training especially the accidents. I did determine that I'm going to start earlier with Connor (I'll let you know if I keep this goal!)

Well, there's a brief update minus the pictures of what we've been up too. I'll post again soon!
